Is that a flying car that I see in that tiny, tiny pic?.........
Yes and no, it's a BMW that my friend was working on - the BL owns hydraulic lifts from when he raced hydrofoil/cigarette boats, so naturally he called his friend up. The pic is from when I first put together my Gamma/Warwick hybrid. Best J bass I've owned.

No pics of the band or gear. But I Googled up a pic of the place where I jammed with a band night before last (chronicled in the combining two bands thread). It's a riverfront office building with an empty unit. Pretty swank and an amazing view. It's the red brick building with the black roof in the background.

I’m MD for the Biomedical Engineering band at my university. We play exactly once a year (tonight) at the department’s Winter Gala. Profs and students mostly. This year we’re doing a two drummer version—one of whom appears to have posture issues. We rehearse in the Dynamics of Human Motion lab where colleagues do motion capture studies. After tonight we’re gigless for another year!

Yup, it sure is! The once-a-year gig went off great last night, lots of dancers and enthusiastic reviews. The management at the Halifax Casino (we were in a beautiful circular room called the Compass Room that has windows overlooking the harbour) apparently had to throw out three groups of outsiders who wandered over from a big country music concert across the hall in the main room—they said the music was way better over here. Nice! Here's the set-up before showtime with the two drummers and me loving being in the middle. We did some Allman Brothers (Trouble No More) but maybe should have covered some Grateful Dead.

Cool! Next band I'm in - if that ever happens again - will have to have a commercial real estate agent onboard so we can poach nice places like vacant offices when required - short term or long term!
