No load pot

Just to be clear, do you specifically want a no-load pot or just a standard pot with a detent in the fully open position?

They won't sound the same. A no-load pot in the fully open position will have a rather narrow, but significant spike, probably somewhere around 2-3 kHz (precisely where will depend on the pickups). Do you want more string noise/"zing" in the fully open position? If not, you will probably be much better off with a standard pot with a detent.
Definitely looking for no load

Definitely looking for no load

I believe Bourns offer no-load pots with a detent. I've always preferred the "feel" of CTS pots though. Bourns have a lower (physical) resistance that I personally don't like. But I can't remember ever seeing CTS no-load pots with a detent except the ones Fender used for a while, and I've only seen those installed in their instruments.

Like others have alread mentioned, you can mod a standard pot into both no-load and detent.

Btw, I just realized you needed this for the TONE pot, which makes a lot more sense to me. For some reason I thought we were talking about the VOLUME pots, hence my comments above. My mistake, sorry! I've never liked no-load VOLUME pots, far too bright/spiky for my taste.
