No love for charcoal frost?

I really don't see many here on TB. I wasn't aware that this was actually a custom color offered by Fender in the 60's"

I really like this color! I was thinking of going with a Candy Cola with maple AmStd, but the Charcoal Frost (with a mint guard) is looking more and more sexy. Any love for this color out there or is it destined to wind up in the same bin Blizzard Pearl did?

I love mine! It had a white guard and I put a black guard on it so that it would fit in with the rest of my Fender family.

And apart that on a Squier Vintage Modified Tele Precision I did a mix of what you got on charcoal frost's Jazz side (it's a basswood 3TS with a Fender WideRange in neck position and I added a black DiMarzio ModelP in the sweetspot right aside its black pickguard, wiring it V/V) your Jazz bass in charcoal is awesome, but like somebody else's said:
it's gotta be beautiful in both three ply black/white/black and perloid pickguard my friend!

Cheers,
Wallace

I specifically got this on my 08 Jazz because it didn't seem all that ubiquitous. The thing is, Sometimes I love it, sometimes I feel kinda "meh' about it.

Of course I had to get rid of the white PG. it looks much better with the black.
