No love for charcoal frost?

With a black pickguard this color is stunning.

I want that now!

I would love to hear that last one! I think I'm leaning toward the CFM with RW and grabbing a mint and black PG ,to switch up when the mood strikes me....kind of curious how tortloaf would look one of these bad boys...

That one was actually a Warmoth build with a custom made pickguard if I recall correctly... All I know is that it is in one of the "Warmoth Porn" threads and incited my fiery passion for CFM with a B/W/B pickguard and maple fretboard. :bassist:

Also.

That's actually my favorite color on a bass or car.

+1

CF Jazz bass owner here - totally love the colour!

It's just a bit different from the norm - I've not seen many about at all. Bought mine without seeing it from overseas, the price was amazing. Pictures looked good....but in the flesh, what a gorgeous colour.

That is beautiful! I seriously considered the pearl guard intead of the black. Hmm. Maybe I'll order a pearl guard as well. :D

Thanks! I really like the way they look with the black too, I was just worried that on a dark stage that the contrast would get lost since the CF is already kinda' dark. This thread is really making me want to pick up a few more guards to change it up from time to time though... :hyper:

I specifically got this on my 08 Jazz because it didn't seem all that ubiquitous. The thing is, Sometimes I love it, sometimes I feel kinda "meh' about it.

Of course I had to get rid of the white PG. it looks much better with the black.

I actually like the contrast between the gray and the white pickguard. The black looks good too.

I'm thinking the same thing. Particularly with Jazz basses, a pickguard change is so simple.

I am going to try some different looks. Fender makes a black sparkle guard, I'm betting that would look good with this finish as well.

Thanks, actually this sexy CFM beast is mine. :hyper: I've built this one with a Warmoth body, Allparts Teleneck (nitro tinted) and the custom made pickguard.

Most powerfull bass I ever had.
