No sound from GK mb Fusion 500 amp. Help needed

Help!!! I have a gig in two days and my amp suddenly died. I can turn it on but there is no sound. I have tried different cables and its not my bass. There is a pop sound in the speakers when i use the mute switch. But thats not very musical. This is the second time i have had problems with this amp..The first time i couldnt even turn it on. I dont bother to contact GK about this..i have contacted them many times before and they never answer.
Please anyone..what could be the problem this time? Should i just throw it away and go buy a Markbass amp?

Is that the one with vacuum tubes in it? If so, reseat them all, on the suspicion one of the pin/socket matings went flaky. If there's more than one of the same type, swap positions around and see if the problem changes. You can also try connecting the fx in and fx out jacks with an instrument cable, in case the fx in jack contacts are dirty (which would interrupt signal flow preamp to power amp).

Thats right. vacum tubes. Its actually not the mb500 its the smaller mb Fusion :) My bad.
I tried to connect my bass to the fx return now and there is sound..But stil no sound from input. Should i still try to reset the tubes?

Yep, so that tells me the signal's getting interrupted in the preamp somewhere. Try what I said and see if it gets you back to normal. You also might just have a dead tube. It does happen.

To get you through the near term you could pick up a stomp box preamp, e.g. BDDI or one of its variants, and run it into the fx in jack.

:crying:I took it to the repairman today and he said the trafo (is that correct English?) was broken. Bad luck i guess...Since it will take a long time to get the part from GK in US, i have to buy a new amp. No more GK for me..I cant afford this anymore.
Thanks for the help friends!
