NOBD: '71 P Bass

Things got a touch more complicated: I took it to a favorite shop of mine that immediately pointed out a bigger issue with the neck. At some point, the bass's player tried to dial in too much relief and drove the truss rod passed the point where it can be unscrewed. Fixing this is beyond what they were comfortable doing and they recommended some local luthiers.

At worst a repair tech is going to have to remove the fingerboard and put in a new truss rod... All that said I think it'll be fine so long as any of those luthiers actually call me back.

Anyone know a tech capable of this fix around DC?

So four months later and it was a bit of a saga. I took it to six or seven shops and each one had a different opinion of what was wrong with the neck.

I decided to sell because of a bunch of stuff (and still am sad it's gone), but I got a great price for it from GC of all places, so I'm alright.
