Noble Amps Preamp

Brought the Noble to a public performance this weekend - the sound guy who has worked with me for a few years (& inventory revisions) said I could leave the DB680 at home from now on. In a nutshell, he described it as defined, warm & pretty much complete in the mix as-is.

Ok, to expand a bit on my post above...

I got my Noble on Monday night, just in time for pre-production rehearsal. Our band is recording our new album next month, and since we aren't using our regular studio (with tube head), I wanted something to make the bass sound great.

Man, this girl did not disappoint. I instantly dialed in a killer tone with treble and bass both at 10:00, and my bandmate and I were both floored.

Next, I did a remote session for a client, and same thing: instant awesome sauce right out of the gate with no effort.

I echo the sentiments of others who have tried one: this preamp is musical no matter where you set it. It's big, warm, and fat, but very defined and clear, and not scoopy. In a word, incredible!

I originally only wanted one for recording, but now I am considering trying her out in live applications as well, even though I like my live rig a lot. The Noble is just a cut above, and I think very quickly I will want to take it with me everywhere I play.

Thank you @Jack Roan for making such an amazing product!

Your very happy customer,
Mike

Mine came today.....any ideas why I can't get any sound from it? Plug 1/4 into bergantino ip cab got a whisper at full volume. Summit td100 works fine.....

Whoa, really? Can you post some pictures? You tested your cables right? Are you going into your amp's input or effects return? If through the effects? This will probably sound stupid and obvious but the instrument goes in through the right and the 1/4" out on the left goes into your amp. The volume knob affects your 1/4" out, so you probably want it around 11 o'clock. When turning on the box it is recommended that your warm it up maybe three- five minutes to get those tubes, well, warm.

I'm sorry if I've offended you with these elementary mentions, but it's pretty much all there is to it. If you've checked the above, which I'm sure you have, it might be a tube or something inside, time to call @Jack Roan ... which by this time you probably already did.
