Noble Amps Preamp

Appreciate the comments. I ordered a PT Nano. The Noble is fairly heavy as pedals go ... will the Velcro that comes with Nano be strong enough to keep Noble from tumbling off or is an "industrial" version required? Do those of you who use Noble on a pedal apply Velcro to the entire bottom surface?
I see you have an Fdeck HPF at the end of the chain. I used to have one of those but sold it after I bought the Noble. The Noble's low-cut filter functionally acts as a HPF so the Fdeck HPF seemed redundant. What is your experience?
Good eye! It's actually the last thing in line before the Noble - not sure why, but it seemed to work a touch better there as opposed to after.
I mainly use the Fdeck for the phase invert feature on upright gigs to work out feedback issues in unkind rooms. I run into these issues much less on slab gigs, but often I still prefer to leave the Noble's cut switch in the off position and find the HPF sweet spot with the Fdeck.
I had these two small pieces on mine, that came with the nano, held perfectly fine
I used my Noble pre on a recording session this past week. I ran the out of the Noble into the input of the studio’s ‘64 blonde Bassman head with the matching 2x12 cab. The engineer had a Sony C-38D condenser mic on the cab and mixed it with the DI signal from the Noble. I used the studio’s ‘66 Precision with flats for this session. I could hear the studio engineer yelling over the intercom: “This DI is the S***!” which is what he always said when he was excited. After hearing the playback, I was smiling from ear to ear. It was the thickest and best sounding bass tone I’ve ever had. I guess the Neve board we were tracking through had something to do with it too.

I always use industrial Velcro. I buy a box of it and use it as needed (I have a lot of pedals).
I have two full strips on the bottom of my Noble. I could probably use less but I hate when things on my board shift.
OK, I finally "committed" to velcro .. and should have done this a long time ago. MUCH more portable, convenient solution for the few pedals I use regularly. Thanks for recommendations!

Oh. I would love to hear how the sneak attack sounds with bass!
The SA (along with the Noble) sounds GREAT! I just recorded a new song with a music buddy that I'll post soon. The SA makes the acoustic bass guitar w/black nylon tapes sounds like an upright with gut strings. Fast attack, fast decay. Way better than using foam or tissue mutes.

Excited that I have a Noble inbound. This was not a part of my 2018 gear plan, but the stars aligned in a most surprising way.
Have been curious about these for a while. My amp is all Aguilar (TH500 and a pair of SL112’s), with a Grizzly bass, Cali 76 CB, and an OC2 in front of it. The Noble should be a great addition, especiallly with my P bass.
Now I just need to get back in a band! it’s funny - i gigged/recorded for years with gear that wasn’t nearly as nice as what I have now. Would be nice to get both going at the same time.
Will report back when the Noble arrives next week.

Welcome to the Noble family! Perfect gear setup for the addition of a Noble. You'll also find that the Cali76 CB and Noble play together especially well.
You owe it to yourself to bypass the Aggie input, and run the output of the Noble into the effects return. It's an amazing tone!

That’s definitely on the list. I did that with the Southampton Ictineo I owned for a while as a change of pace, but I have a feeling that the Noble will be a whole different ballgame.
The Noble landed yesterday, and I’ve had a chance to put it through it’s paces, at least in a bedroom type setting. The verdict? The Noble sounds good (excellent really) no matter how I hooked it up, with every different bass I own. Passive p bass? Killer. Stingray 5? Killer. Fretless Ripper? Killer.
Great tone through the DI into headphones. Equally great tone running into the effects return of my TH500. The one that surprised me was running into the input of the TH500 - I didn’t expect much since the TH voicing is pretty baked in, but I was pleasantly surprised how much the Noble added to the equation.
Loved boosting the bass going into my headphones, even if it’s probably not a useful sound on the gig. Playing through my rig, I preferred engaging the low cut which really cleaned up the sometimes almost-too-thick low end the Aggie rig puts out.
Have to say I’m pretty pleased all around - looking forward to spending some more time with it, especially when my Earthquaker Westwood shows up in a couple days.

These cases are at Harbor Freight here in Charlotte for $15 or so. They appear to be pretty tough and have a seal on the inside, making them weather resistant. Eyeballing it, I feel pretty confident that the Noble will fit.
May be worth checking out if you are into these sorts of things
