Noble Amps Preamp

Does it make a difference, 9v vs 18v?

My understanding is that with an 18v power supply, you get more headroom in your signal. Maybe quicker transients too, but I can’t say for sure.

A different way to say it, but basically the same idea as @been_effected stated above.

Any in here who uses a cali76 bass with your noble ? How much power do you give the Cali76? 9, 12, 18 volts?

I'm running at 9v now, because sadly, I no longer have my Noble... but when I had it I ran my Cali at 18v ...
I can't explain the difference, but as @been_effected stated, there's something extra there.. Noble and Cali 76CB is a perfect combination in my book

I decided to go just straight Noble into the instrument input of my Berg rig this morning. It has been a part if a variety of PB configs over the past 3-1/2 years, but it has been a long long time since it was the only pedal used. The Berg rig is very clean and articulate, and I wasn’t sure how the pairing would sound... amazing!

Of course!

I've been doing the same thing. Only difference is my Noble is on my pedal board, and I have the Bergantino Forte. Yes, it's an awesome pairing.

Kinda took me by surprise, but the Noble has been giving me the most enjoyable slap sound—doubtless it wasn't the primary design goal—but those two boost-only EQ bands are SO MUCH BETTER than subtractive EQ where bass is concerned. I always felt you needed to really EQ the hell out of the midrange, but this yields a more solid tone, not hollowed-out. Joy.

I saw in one of Tim's videos he talks about turning on the hpf and then raising the bass knob to 'drive the tubes harder'.

Can anyone confirm if it adds some light overdrive to the signal at all? It would be great if I could on the fly dial in a little bit of hair on my notes.
