So a whole lot of these cab/amp threads really should specify what the primary purpose is for the amp/cab(s) being discussed.

My personal stage monitoring solution was an Acoustic 360/361 ( not much FOH back then )

I can do any gig I get with this cab because I always have PA support. It doesn’t hurt that it is incredibly loud an efficient too!

I haven't tried that many cabs over the years, but my SWR Workingman's 4x10T (for tweeter) has been my go to cab for all gigs I had to bring my gear. Other bassists never complained about it, and two of them were impressed enough to let me know.

I played melodic death metal, rock and a lot of punk rock with it.

The last couple gigs we did I used this cabinet . 212 Deltalites and weighs 46 pounds . One of the guitar players from my band bought it from me because he subs playing bass once in a while . To me it's about all I'd ever need , loud and clear with much booty . I use a couple 15 cabs I built now but this thread is about single cabs . 212 gets my vote .

Guessing that the majority of us are doing small to mid-sized rooms where a single cab will easily suffice. Outdoors, you may want more, so keep this to the sweet spot of the bread and butter gigs. What's your favorite cab, why - and yes, we all want an SVT 810.

I have a modded ampeg 410he thats has had a speaker swap and 115. Normally they both leave house as I like to use the 15 to elevate the 410 even if don't have the 15 hooked up. But usually if I only bring one cab it’s the 410.

Sounds pretty good but I have been wanting to get my hands on a 4ohm fearless cab. Like the f212 Mainly to have a different style of cab that has a lot of deep lows for those smaller gigs where the bass isn’t in the PA.

I've never actually tried one, but if I'd go out cab shopping tomorrow, my first stop would be a Bergantino NV212.

I’m currently using either a single or pair of Ampeg SVT210AV cabs.

115. Generally smaller and lighter than a 410, more kick than a 210.

I don’t think I could do it with 112. I think 212 might be the answer if I can find one small enough.

It seems like a 4x8 would be a good solution, but I’ve never actually seen one.

If you get really lucky you might find a "maxturbo" 4x8

I use 2 of these on gigs with either a Kustom 1200 or a 300 watt tube ashton and they work fine but are a bit bass shy. A single one is quite bass shy but usable with EQ + power.
The pair of them are quite a bit smaller than a 4x10 as they aren't very deep.
