I'll Play and hope I don't screw up too bad...I'm interested in everyone's favorite saved bass porn of instruments that have that old school, classic vibe, but aren't actual classics?
I want to keep the 'rules' vague, because the more the merrier, but generally I'd rather it obviously not be Fender P Basses and Stringrays, and we can probably go ahead and skip the outright fender copies as well.. but if you feel it's on the line go ahead and post itI'd call the Fodera Classics in a happy gray area that I'd be fine with posting here.
Similarly, we are not looking for the finest ergonomic coffee table bass, nor the most space age carbon fiber microchip-brain interface instruments... but of course there's wiggle room if you think it still captures something of yesteryear.. I promise I won't yell if it seems a little over the line

My friend's Marcobass... I think it was something of a prototype.. my friend bought it at Marco's shop after an interesting conversation regarding Marco's thoughts that instruments have a 'dress code.' I don't know if it's part of the design, or merely an artifact of the prototype, but I love the industrial look of the control cover

Edit: and you know what, I also don't mind if it's a straight up classic- just keep it obscure-ish.. again, we've all seen a billion Jazz Basses, but even if it's somewhat well known, the old Ampeg Scroll bass is no doubt a true classic, but I wouldn't call it a cliche to post, so bring it on!

I took the G-side 'tug-bar' off of my '68 Coral Deluxe Bass (Dano) as it was in my way. I don't use the E-side thumb-rest but I mostly play over the bridge pu so I left it on.

I know this may be a little OT, but with all of the classic basses shown in this thread, I thought it might be a very knowledgeable place to ask for help. Therefore, can anyone please tell me what bass James Cook (Luke Bryan's bassist) is playing in the following photos?
