Here's a very short thread. If you have a non fender that showing some character, lets see it. Bassist will play the hell out of a Fender but when it comes to a boutique instrument they coddle them like a new born child - except for Doug Johns.

Boutique basses are usually natural finish.


I do have , though, a guitarista with a played-in squier (reliced if you will). He is forbidden to bring said guitar ti rehersals or gigs. Hipe this helped.

I can't imagine the amount of playing time it would take to get through Pedulla finish. That'd be like trying to rub a hole in a bathtub. But I guess if you play like Doug Johns you'll get it done.

I know Doug! We'd done gigs together. Last time I recall seeing Doug was at the 2010 NAMM Show.
