Non-mid-scooped small cabs?

Schroeders? You won't get any real low end, but that might work well depending on the sitation and what you're looking for.

+1

Schroeders will slap you in the face and scream "I'm here". Very mid-oriented cabs. Sound awesome in the gig, a bit nasal by themselves.

Bergantinos are not scooped either, more like flat and a "velvet-like" studio quality...

The TL designs with Neo drivers are great all around cabs, with strong mids, and only slightly light on lows (on stage). I enjoy my tiny TL806 1x12 whenever possible. It covers most of what I need (R&B, Blues, Rock). For larger venues I use either the TL 806 2x12, or TL606 1x15... All small and light, and sound good.

How about the GK NEO112-II?

That's a great, great cab, and just stellar for the money. While I think that the mids are fairly well balanced, I will say that the big low end can make the mids feel just a tad bit scooped (but not like an Epi UL-110). The EA Wizzy 10 or 12 (both regular and M-line flavors) was another great suggestion from a few posts up. These cabs have great midrange warmth and texture, but do not extend up into the shimmery/shiney/sparkly top end. The M-line Wizzy (12) has the biggest/deepest low end extension of this bunch.

Bergantino HT112 (the older model) has great midrange focus and presence, but they are somewhat heavy for their size. The Berg AE112's are very nice, too. Not quite as strong/focused in the mids as the HT112's, but fairly well balanced from top to bottom. The HT112ER's have such a big low end that the mids can sound a bit scooped. The Mesa/Boogie PH112 is very present in the midrange, but not quite as refined/clean as the Bergs.

Man, there are lots of good options. It all comes down to personal preferences.

Edit: I can't believe I forgot to mention a fEarful 12/6!
