same! What’s your setup?

This is my little 6U system! Pretty modest compared to a lot of people's rigs but it's been a lot of fun. It can get really weird with all the modulation from Sloths, Hypster, and Let's Splosh, it's like a little organism of its own. I'm using this to make weird mangled ambient and feedback chaos, mostly - I don't really do drums or metered things very often. I also tend to add some processing with my bass pedalboard since I only have one effects unit.

I'd like to build up to probably 12U 104HP, which seems like a size that would let you do mostly anything without inducing total option paralysis. My biggest concern with doing so is that it's easy to build a collection of modules, but much harder to build an instrument - as modular people will know all too well.

What up other modular fans!

Now THIS is a crazy room. I would love to spend some time with your Serge wall! I've been kicking around the idea of getting a couple panels of Serge for a while now and this isn't helping, lol

Drums/percussion. I'd be a drummer if I didn't play the bass.

I'm pretty bad on keys, and terrible at playing the wind instruments. I cannot cook either but am still valuable as a dishwasher

I have had 12u of Euro before. I had fun but it didn’t feel cohesive, like an instrument. I have had Serge and/or Buchla 200e around for the past 12 years. Now I have both because they are very different, each with their own strengths (for how I approach them) and both are cohesive. The Buchla feels slightly more like an instrument maybe due to the case and the ton of gestural control. The Serge feels more “mine” as I have a few different makers, some rare/small run stuff and some custom built panels.
I am glad to message about this stuff or talk more in a thread about modular synths.

Very nice!

I suppose I should disclose that I’m more semi-modular with an unhealthy dose of full modular envy! I have a few slots to fill my humble little rig!
