Nordstand Pickups.....underwhelming..... (to me)

Let me see… I have a Jb with NJ4 that sounds good, a P with NP4 that sounds really good, a MM Sterling with MM 4.3 and it sounds awesome!
I don’t know... maybe it’s just coincidence but…

My P Bass with NP4 sounds the best a PBass can, at least to my ears. My Jazz with NJ4SV was ok, not significantly better than with the stock Fender pickups, I liked them because they were dead quiet being humbuckers and they still kinda sorta sound like single coils.

Everyone has their own taste. No one's is better than someone elses'.

Pickup preference seems like a very silly thing to waste time arguing and making cheap digs at each other about

I have a fender american deluxe jazz 4 string.
Do you people changes only the pickup and the put the Nordstand ones?
Or you change the stock preamp too?
