Nordy or Sadowsky???

I've had Nordy VJ5,friend of mine had Sad Metro, they're sure fantastic world class basses, but we switch to FBass VF5 and I think this basses are absolutely killing...so just another take for great 5string Jazzbass clone from great mr.Furlanetto as are mr.Nordstrand and mr.Sadowsky...another to each his own rule...:-)

Well, if we are drifting to other brands then you have to go with seriously testing out Alleva Coppolo also. The one I played was more like a Fender than anything I've been able to try.

Between these two brands hands down its Nordy. They are fuller across the frequency range - especially in the mids. Very few basses set up as well and have as good a neck profile as Nordies from my experience, and you can get their US made model for around the same $ as a Japanese Metro.

The Nordy neck profile is the best for my hands. Fit me better than the Sadowsky neck profile. But quality and how they all work in the mix? There are only winners here.

First off, I understand what you mean, but if you just take the statement "it's more like a fender than anything" why not just get a fender?:hiding:

It's like saying, oh this new phone is the closest thing to an iphone, but it's 4 times the price, it's awesome!

Funny how we think sometimes.

Not a bad point, I should have said that is was more like an older 4 string Fender in a 5 string than anything else I've tried. Including a new Fender 5 :)
