Not happy at all with this "new" forum layout !!!!!!!!!

Ok,,, I been playing with this new layout of TB and I am lost,,, I'm so lost I was not even sure were to post this complaint (please move to the correct category)

The search function for the forum category's ,,,,, where is it ????,,, is it the general search tab at the top of the page ???

I ran some searches from the top of the page but still not sure if I'm getting search results from the entire forum or the sub category (example: if I'm in the Amps section how do I search the Amps section only ?)

When search results come up where is the thread counts that show how many times the thread you searched has been been viewed ????

The original TB forum was so easy to navigate and view all the information on threads and everything else,,, this sure ain't the case now !!!

If it ain't broke don't fix it,,,,, nothing in the original layout was broken, it was clean, simple, and very easy to navigate,,,,,,,, now it is not !!!

Very bummed to see TB change a great forum layout that had a great UI into this new over complicated UI !!!

Please place this in the correct sub forum ,,, where ever that is :(

Now if you can make it so I can see my threads in reverse order like the old site. When I click on a thread I want to see the newest post at the top then descending down to the original post. If this is available now, I can't figure out how to make it work.

Also, is there an upgrade your account feature? I just renewed in March for a Supporting Membership and thought about going to a Gold Membership. Since I just paid $20 can I pay the $40 more to move up to Gold?

Speaking of the alerts, I notice that regardless of how many alerts you've got, once you roll over the tab once they all go away. Could we have them only disappear as we check them instead, maybe? For example, if I have six alerts, I'll roll over the tab and all six will go away; I'd rather have the number of alerts stay over the tab until you actually check one, then have it go away the next time you check.

(I hope that was clear enough.)

Conversely, the red indicator does not go away unless you check the "alerts" link, even if you read the thread or post that was the subject of the alert. For example, I got an alert for Chris' post in this thread. If I had clicked directly on the thread, rather than clicking the "alert" link, the red alert indicator would have stayed lit, even though I had read the thread that was the subject of the alert. It would be nice if the site were smart enough to recognize that the subject of the alert has been read and remove the flag.

I'm sorry, we don't have any way of doing this currently. If you just renewed we can refund your $20 and you can start over with a new Gold sub. If you'd like to do that, please send a note to the help desk ("contact us" link in footer).
