Just saw this last night. Pretty nice! I like the Darkburst... looks way better IMO.
It's a short scale so I bet it is about the same as a SG bass. My SG doesn't bother me.

That model doesn't even show up if you drill down to the basses from the "Products" menu at the top. Up until now, I thought their whole 2015 line of basses has been reduced to two models. I guess now it's up to three. 
But the price... sheesh!
I like Gibson. Not giving up any of my Gibby's until my hands can no longer hold them. But I'm not planning on buying any new ones either.

Me too. I hated it on last year's Midtowns, but it looks OK here.
It's probably because, on the Midtowns, they made the entire thing gold. Made it look like a brick. With the LP they've made only the top gold and left the rest as a more natural dark wood. The F-holes in the LP top also help to make it look less featureless than the previous LP bass.
