Tom Lilly on the David Becker Tribune's "Where's Henning" album has some fretless improv that I've enjoyed countless times, esp. Footprints and All Blues, and Here and There (!).
I'm not a slap/popper but one guys playing I really dig is Danyel Morgan.
He has a great sense of time.

Holy crap. That is why I love this place so much. I had heard of him ( only because of adds for Tricia Yearwood or something ) but wouldn't have ever searched him out.
That is what this thread is all about and I'm a huge fan of that video.

Great bassline, with a nice little break... love this song, love Sarah, and was honestly surprised to see that Brian actually played this one on the record, I did not realize how much he played on the record, like 50-50...
