Not sure this qualifies as Mojo

I have a bass that survived a fire....sadly the known 90's guitar player owner did not. :(. It looked worse than that but toothpaste, oil, and lots of elbow grease brought it back. After hanging for a year most of the smell is gone. Mojo though?...lol.
I will be giving it back to the fire investigator/singer in my blues band that gave it to me. Of course if someone wants to pay 2800 for it's "mojo" I may just sell it...lol

The price is comical, but I've been intrigued by the "survived a fire" bass since my formerly local Guitar Center had a music man that survived a fire that felt great and sounded (to me) amazing. The smoke/fire changed something that gave the bass more of a raw and aggressive tone. I wasn't able to buy it, but the sound has stuck with me. Granted, that bass was sold for 1/4 the price of a new one. This Fender is priced to move like molasses uphill in January.

Wait... Thats the "Buy it NOW" Price?!?!
Oh man... The drug use involved here are unfathomable.
Survived fire when I was jonesing and a little birdie told me that I could freebase a bass... I came to my senses when the drummer put me in rehab.... Yeah I know... The DRUMMER!
Need 2800 bucks for rehab bills... Selling bass. Do not try to freebase! Buzzes slightly at all frets... But not in a "good buzz" kinda way.
Accepting offers for amps... Will trade for heroin in installments.

Leaving aside the dubious "Mojo" claim, it's a rather expensive for a bass that got scorched in a music shop fire. It's not like it was owned by Jimi Hendrix and he set it on fire on stage at some music festival or something, that would create "added value".

Still if someone likes it enough I guess they'll pay what's asked.

Today it's all about marketing. Survived a fire, was buried in the swamp for 20 years, survived attack by Godzilla...

...It's a fire damaged instrument, these are usually sold for cents to the dollar to just cut your losses but I've never seen anyone trying to turn a profit on a damaged instrument.

Is it worth it? No! I could buy a new bass for that kind of money, why would I want a burnt one?

I mean if it were "roasted by dragon breath in the middle of a performance" and I had supporting pictures it wouldn't be worth that much.
