Not Working: Ampeg pf-50t Transformer Balanced Out

If its possible, why not take your setup to the tech, hook everything up, and have him/her observe the problem ?
In a way that the tech doesn't think you're telling him how to do his job.

I'd say just return it as a callback and re-emphasize that it seems the D.I. still isn't working right.
The OP did not discount the idea of a miscommunication about the problem on the first visit.

Ok, but all the more reason to demonstrate the problem. I have had techs ask me to do the same before when a problem was not obvious, or they could not duplicate what I thought was wrong, without taking offense, but that's just my experience.

If they ask, that's a different matter. A good tech would. But some might be offended. In that case you need to find someone else anyway.

The PF-50T is beautifully laid out and easy to troubleshoot. It shouldn’t be a complicated issue for a tech to resolve. First ensure that the issue isn’t in how it is being used.

I haven’t forgotten about this thread. I haven’t had a chance to grab an adapter so I can try a different interface. I doubt this will be a fix.

And then I’ll go back to the tech and update y’all. I’ll probably make a video demonstrating the problem and share it here.
So, what's happening ?

Just a long shot... Have you tried using the transformer output XLR to see if the problem is the same with an 8 Ohm cab connected and switched to 8 Ohms, AND then with 4 Ohms worth of cab and switched to 4 Ohms?
Running out of the Transformer Output I get barely any volume at 4ohms and zero volume at 8ohms. This is running the gain and master a full amount. The preamp output works accordingly.

In my last post I wrote that it was working fine with my newer interface, which it did. But then it stopped performing properly.

Try different cables and a different interface.

Is the bias indicator showing green?

Are you running cabless or with cab? Whatever you are doing, try the opposite. When running a cab, does the sound from the cab sound right?

If you are certain it's the amp, you probably need a tech.

I don't have a schematic, but the gut shot and block diagram suggests there is solid state circuitry between the output transformer and the Transformer Balanced XLR jack. See the red circle:

If the solid state circuitry fails...Transformer Balanced Out no worky.
