Notification and post repeats

In the recycling thread, which I started and am following with notices, I am getting repeat notices of the same posts. One particular post has come up with the little red flag at the top of the page several times. And each time I click on it, it shows "a moment ago" as the posting time, even though it has happened several times throughout the day.

Just now I clicked "New Posts". When I did, 8 notifications showed up on the little red flag. When I clicked to see what they were, it said someone had replied to my thread (same one as mentioned above). When I clicked on that notice, it was a post from 6:15 this morning (local) that I saw then. So I got a repeat notice again.

Using Chrome for Android by any chance ?

So it seems every time I click "New Posts" I get the same 8 notices from this morning over and over again.

I restarted my phone and cleaned up storage and cache and it cleared up. I use the Samsung browser too.

Get this. I got a notification TF quoted me here but the page is as it was when 1st visited 15 min ago before I replied to it. I bet after I hit send it will refresh with mine and TF's postings above this one.

Even crazier. Went to edit last. Posted, and the box for 'more posts have been made while you were out' was there, hit that and it was like going back in time to before I joined the thread yet again.

Nuked my whole browser history, something I didn't want to do, fixed.

Well, it worked up to previous session. Seems not to do any updating without nuking the browser as read posts that I haven't posted on since still come back looking like new stuff has been posted.

And now I can't post.

Tried shifting forums via the site links instead of bookmarks. No dice. I have to refresh each forum but at least that does it now

I have new pm and reported post red flag notifications across the top bar that won’t clear even after I read them and see that they’re yesterday olde

How do I stop it displaying stale pages, permanently? Anything visted after last browser nuking fails to update the read point.

Is it still fixed? I did that and it appeared fixed but it only fixed it up to my new history starting. Now today if I open this thread it only displays up to yesterday afternoon #15. Hitting refresh gets the rest of the old posts plus any new ones.
