Now that he's died, (rickenbacker content)

I hope his bass doesn't go to Hard Rock Café. David Gilmour lent them the Black Strat used on Dark Side, Meddle, etc. And the idiots left it exposed and within reach of casual passerby who plucked knobs off it as souveniers. Then they "forgot" he'd lent, not given it to them, and gave him stank about returning it until he produced the original contract.

I knew I'd never be able to buy one of the Lemmy basses, so I just went ahead and built one.

Yeah, I know, I've been using the situation as a platform for showing off my build. Opportunism rears its ugly head...

That's beautiful!

I would definitely give one of my testicles for one of Lemmy's old basses, except that damn Thunderturd.

Maybe I should clarify, the engraved 4004LK, or at least his last Rick before that.

I was never a fanboy, until I met Lemmy.

I met various Heavy Metal artists throughout Hollyweird, but Lemmy was just the coolest of them all.

Not to be the harbinger of sorrow, but...

I would assume crazy fans are looting his apartment even before I wrote this.
His complex didn't seem to be very high on the security end of things.

Lemmy was the nicest celeb I have ever met and I have met many. Best mates for a day back in '86. R.I.P my friend.

Mr Hashtag comes across as a D-Bag, not someone who loved Lemmy and wants his bass as a fetish object. I could be wrong, of course. Morbid Consumerism is not love, it's crass and opportunistic. It's frankly vulgar.

Funny... I read the OP and came away with a completely different impression.

Given the fact that you say you could be wrong, the strong negative stance seems even more odd to me. He asked for info and you're acting like he peed on Lemmy's grave. Still can't see anything in the OP that would hint at that. The rest of the pitchforks in this thread come as no surprise.
