For some time I have been GASing for a Precision with a Jazz neck. I acquired a Squier maple Jazz neck with white block inlay from a fellow TBer and spent some time looking for a body to compliment the neck. I finally found a black Squier Precision body with black pickguard on eBay. Last night I finally had time to assemble my purchases. I am really happy with the results. It just needs a good setup and I will be rocking this baby at my upcoming gigs.
The pickup and pots that came with the body are OK but I think I will change them out with a Custom Shop 60 pickup, new pots, wire cloth, a drop cap and a Switchcraft jack after the New Year. I did this last year to my Squier Jazz and it made a world of difference in the tone.
