NPD DSM Noisemaker OmniCabSim

hey guys..need some advice here..
i want to contact worldwide youtube gear reviewers, like Rob Chapman (already contacted him), Glenn Fricker, and similars..
Who can you recommend me to contact so they can review the OCSD specially for bass gear, that has worldwide reach and a huge follower group?
Glenn Fricker, beyond the occasional bass player bashing, seems quite honest in his reviews. Whether it's bad or good, you will know

Oh, Fricker's the Spectre dude... didn't know his name. I caught a couple of his videos awhile back. I didn't mind the rhythm section bashing, it was too silly to take seriously. That said, I don't care for loudmouths who claim to know it all... unfortunately, being that way gets you more clicks on YouTube.

Speaking of which, YouTube recommended one of his videos where he bashed TalkBass. Well, the bashing was in the title.... something about idiotic opinions on TalkBass. I didn't watch the video because the title was clearly cheap click-bait and I didn't want to support that. Really, out of all the music forums on the internet, there's less idiocy here because the mods do a great job of keeping it in check. Maybe that video didn't bash TB as hard as the title suggested, but whatever.... I much prefer guys like Ed Friedland who always keep it classy.

On that note: if no one's already mentioned it, DSM should contact Ed Friedland, the Bass Whisperer!

Too bad, you should watch it and make your own judgement, and not avoid it just because the title offends you :) You might learn something.
I agree with you on the loudmouth / click bait comment though, and I do believe this is one of the most well-run music forums (which does not mean it is spared the idiocy of the Internet )
I love Ed Friedland's video reviews, I really do (made my decision to buy my bass based on his review, very glad I've done so) ; unfortunately I don't think I've ever seen him say anything bad about a product he reviewed on video. Drawbacks matter

@Dsmnoisemaker

quick question, if i run a pedal board full of overdrives and Compression and so on into the OmniCabSim then plug in a set of headphones, will it send the overall tone or just the tone of the CabSim?

Hello anavar.. The OCSD is ussually placed at the end of the pedalboard. The output will sound like your pedalboard going into a big clean amp with variable cabinet configuration. The same output goes into the headphone amp.

i'll place the pre order now.

Edit - done ;)

Got an great gig planned for 20/06, can I be hopeful ?
I'd love to say yes..but to be realistic i don't think so..
Enclosures are probably getting here next week, give me a few days to assemble and test, and we're around the 17th.. Even then, no shipping service will deliver it in 2~3 days..

Last night I once again played a room with tricky acoustics. As usual, I used a single Bergantino CN210, which has deep low end. I also got a little bit of low end support through FOH. I got to the bar with just a half-hour to spare (traffic) so for the 1st set I went straight into the amp, no FX. As expected, acoustics were off: my low A was boomy, and D above that was thin. I couldn't really tweak EQ much because of cramped stage setup... the guitarist was mostly blocking access to my amp. In between sets I tweaked EQ on the amp, and also set up my OCSv1. Both helped, but the OCS was really the key to attenuating the peaks and valleys. I also dialed some Punch to help cut through -- this added some nice warm mids to my Sadowsky P5 strung with LaBella Tiger Blood tapes.

In short, the OCS continues to deliver exactly what I hoped for with my modern-sounding CN210 cabs: gives 'em tighter low end and a more vintage vibe. Helping to address wonky acoustics is a nice bonus!

I'm very happy that the OCS helped you! It's exactly for what i designed it ..

BTW, i have the boards! And the enclosures are getting here tomorrow!

So i will be assembling and testing this week, and start to ship this friday!

I will keep the preorder offer until Wednesday, so if anyone is still thinking on getting one with the discount, hurry up!
Kudos!!!

Sweet as! Time really flies! It feels like everything has been quick and going very smoothly! Now I really hope the shipping will be quicker than the postcard I sent from Chile during vacation. It took about half a year to get to Sweden. No critique to Chile though, I think it got stuck on the floor of some postal office on the way. :-)

Great work Daniel!
Cheers,
Kalle
