hello everyone!!
jumping in to inform you that all the parts for the new OCSD batch have arrived, so i will be extending the preorder offer until this friday (june 23th)
so, shipping is estimated to start next week, as planned!!!

so, if you are interested in one, or have a friend that you know it will be happy to get one, you have until friday!!

by the way..did you checked the review at bass musician magazine??..so proud!! :P

Awesome. I've told a few people about it. Unfortunately, they don't have the gear budget and/or need for one. They are curious about it. I'll be sure to show it off.

most players don't realize that straight into the FOH is the trend now..i would not be surprised if in 5-10 years, instrument amps onstage will be just props or non existent..

Much as I love my favorite stage amp, I would prefer to bring no amp (and I have an OCS, so I'm prepared).

That said: at the bar band level (where I mostly play), I don't expect guitarists to give up their stage amps within 10 years: "My tone, my tone, my ear-piercing tone!!" But we can hope.

Well, as a guitarist myself, i understand them..but bars and small venues will start to require all FOH sound soon..here in chile there´s a famous Pub that will not let you play with amps onstage..guitarists were furious, but i think that is the future..I REALLY HOPE!! hahaha

I'm glad Bass Musician Magazine talked about it, but this is hardly a review, merely a short presentation ; they didn't explain why and when such a piece of gear is relevant, what sets it apart from the other cab sim units on the market, what do the different knobs do, what could be improved further... The pedal deserved more ! :bassist:

yes i agree..i wasn´t dissapointed, but it lacked passion..

I had X Blender, and it was really cool the way it works. The only problem i got a defective unit ( I think ) it was adding a lot noise to chain, and it was noise by itself, ( I have 2 of the best power supply ) I tried to contact them and it took time get back, and they wanted video of the pedal, so it was getting complicated, I sold it as defective ( not sure if it was ) and no more xotic pedal for me. I still need a blender like that, so count with me when you release the blender.

Definitely a defective unit. I had a x-Blender for quite some time and it was dead silent.

Hey all and @Dsmnoisemaker ,

I have an original OCS, and I plugged it into a new-to-me passive 6-way bypass looper. All the other pedals work fine, but the OCS creates a huge pop when switched in and out with the looper. The pop doesn't seem to happen right away after powering up, but but switching after a few minutes does it, as if a charge or capacitance was being built up. The OCS seems to work fine without the looper. Any ideas?

you have me scratching my head..
the OCS (and OCSD) have electronic buffered bypass, so it is pretty much inmune to switching issues and pops. Usually pops are caused by a DC voltage present at the signal input or output.
Is the unit popping when you switch it through the looper or through the OCS itself?
My bet (pretty sure) is that the looper, or the pedal/device before or after it is building the DC through the signal..and the pop is generated at the looper switch and not in the OCS internal switch..

maybe answer me via message so we don´t turn this thread into a debugging conversation :P
