Ok Mu Tron why would you put the input and output so close together...

When the world demands top jacks and tiny enclosures, this is the inevitable result.Ok Mu Tron why would you put the input and output so close together...View attachment 4713011
Not really. All they had to do was to stick the 9V input between the input and output jacks, like most other pedal manufacturers do, and it would have been fine. However, the footswitches are ridiculously close to each other as well. @odarellmc is right. This thing is a design train wreck. When the world demands top jacks and tiny enclosures, this is the inevitable result.
Ha! Been thinking about some custom cables that I could cut but it was Stupid of Mu Tron to not think of the various cables that are on the market they need to let folk know if you have my type of cables they can't connectThose giant pancake plugs are often more trouble than they're worth
AND THEY DONT SOUND THAT GREAT. If I can't plug it in and it make sounds good then back they go...Not really. I would say that assessment is dead on..Not really. I purchased these last yrNice 60s vintage plug ends on those cables. Get some from this millennium, you'll be fine.

So you think it's a good design? For one, there are other cords with smaller plug housings
Yeah, but that type of plug sucked when I first encountered them in the 70s, and they suck more now. Sorry, just my unvarnished opinion.I purchased these last yr
Of course, everything gets easier when you have lots of space, but there are plenty of mini pedals that have solved this problem successfully. Input and output jacks on the sides, 9V at the top. Having top-mounted jacks on a pedal this size is a poor design choice to begin with, and they compounded the error with the frankly ridiculous placement of the 9V input.Shrink the device small enough, you're just forced into this sort of thing by the relative lack of real estate to place everything.
The older ones . . . . didn't have that problem.

I don’t think so. While there are jack plugs that might fit better, the 9V input blocks the output jack. It's your jacks, not your pedal. Those jacks need to go.
So you think it's a good design?
