nut problems on a traben.

I just bought my traben array back in january. when I got it it worked fine then one day the strings started to raddle. i put all the strings in high action still din't solve it. Adjust the truss rod with no luck. Finally gave up on diy and took it in to get it serviced. When I got it back the neck had been straightened out but it raddled worse then ever. I put all the strings back into high action on the bridge with no such help. Finally I wrapped some electrical tape around the strings at the neck and the rattle stopped. I hate to have by baby look so ghetto though so I was wondering if there was any way I could fix the nut without having to replace it. and have it look and play well.

any suggestions?

I've been thinking that stiffer strings might also help....

sorry lets see if I can re-word this better.

the nut on my traben is set to low I think (where the strings meet the headstock... just incase I'm using the wrong terminology). When I play it rattles on all 4 strings pretty badly. I put some tape around the strings and it stopped the rattle but it looks tacky. Is there any way I can raise the nut (again where the strings meet the headstock)

Also i've adjusted the bridge and raised the strings pretty high there and I still get a rattle.

It sounds kind of like a buzz but it's more vibrating then regular fret buzz.

Hope you can see it clearly. but if you look at the bottom you'll see the tape (I used electrical tape to match the satin black finish)

It's a brass nut if that helps any.
