nutty opinions

i am in the process of getting the last few parts for my bass build. i was wondering which type of nut to get = bone, tusq or ivory.

it will be basically a laminated maho/maple through neck (bolted on) maho body with a 71 big Gibby humbucker with a TB Plus bridge pup, 32" scale with a Schaller bridge

any opinions on different sounds from the different types of nuts?

So its a through neck, but bolted on? I'm a bit confused.

As for the nut, it really makes very little difference in sound, but if you do a lot of string bending then you'll want one with less friction, and I believe Tusq would be the one to pick in that case.

didn't mean to confuse, the neck is a bolt on but goes the length of the body to the bridge and has about a 3 degree neck to body angle.
