Double Bass Obligato vs. Innovations

Help! Just put a set of innovation rockabilly strings on my Kay. How long does it take for them settle in and warm up?

Obligations take longer to stay in tune and they stretch a lot more when tuned up.
Innovation 140B keep pitch after a few days of retuning. If you retune often on the first day, they are almost stable after one to two days.

Innovation Braided (=140B) are more robust, you can take them off and on again very often without degradation in strng quality or sound. Not a good thing with Obligato.
But Obligato are brighter. Some seem to be annoyed by rolling of the lower strings.

Only way to know is to try.
Nobody can predict how some strings will perform on your bass.

Have a mature set that came in Innovation Rockabilly sleeves but silks don't match Rockabilly. Ball ends are all red, like Spiro Mitts, but peg ends are:
G = green; D = gray; A = blue; and E = yellow/gold. If they are something you need or want to try, they're yours for the postage.

My experience with Innovations ( both Super Silvers and Golden Slaps on two different basses), is that while not being perhaps a great set of strings, they do remain good for a looong time.

But than again I'm a very thrifty man...

Much less enthusiastic about the Innovation Rockabillys.

That was my best guess, as well, but the green wrap on the G didn't fit with the chart for Red Labels, so I thought I'd throw it out there for input. The gray/silver (zinc ?) ball and red wrap on the G is identical to the others to the finest detail.
