obscure (but funny) comedy television

Oh ...that is the problem with so many shows.....even good ones.....sign of those times I think....especially low budget 70s and 80s
Make sure the kids are out of the room before hitting Play...
It's on CraveTV (in Canada), but I expect that one of the US streaming services will pick it up. Those two hockey players - Jonesy and Reilly - really steal the show throughout each of the three seasons.
I guess in Canada it wouldn’t be obscure, but nobody’s mentioned The Trailer Park Boys so far(I live in a part of SoCal that gets invaded by Canadian snowbirds all the time). Just hysterical. I mean, Bubbles, c’mon. Funny thing, it never snows or gets cold. What would Randy do then? In the past couple of years, Marc Maron’s Show on IFC. Absurdity and angst. It slayed me; especially the episode where he takes his mom to the free clinic for an STD check(plausible now, that wouldn’t have happened on ‘Leave It To Beaver’). It just disappeared recently, but he still has his awesome podcasts, very unique. Recently, “People Of Earth”, and “The Guestbook”.

Also, “Garfunkel and Oats” and(related), “Another Period”, both of which, when they’re great, they just kill, but also have some iffy moments when it just doesn’t work or it’s forced.
Same here. I have them all on VHS and was just thinking of getting the series on DVD.
There is always the amazing Mystery Science Theater 3000. Not sure how obscure it is, but I keep running into more and more people that never heard of it.
Thanks for posting this. I've watched season 1. On a par with Trailer Park Boys, but with better accents. The dialog comes pretty fast though. I can barely understand the hockey players, let alone the meth-heads.
