I've seen all of Fawlty Towers & I could never understand how my British friends could watch them over & over w/o getting bored of it.

but then I think of Black Adder:

There was (or is) a show about a touring band's road crew, but I can't think of the name of it right now.

Roadies. An amazing show that was cancelled after one year. It was great. Lots of big star cameos too.

Also, Wedding Band was cancelled after one season and it was friggin’ hilarious.

I have watched both a second time. Good stuff and lots of bass/music geek stuff.

My favorite post-Python show was Ripping Yarns with Michael Palin and Terry Jones.

We love discovering new-to-us (but probably familiar to Brits on TB) British comedies, the more absurd and twisted the better. Among those we've found in recent years were

League of Gentlemen (very twisted)
Black Books
Spaced
Big Train

Not so twisted, but quite good:

Jeeves & Wooster (with Fry and Laurie)
Blandings

AMC had a show called Small Town Security that was pretty funny. It also went a lot of places you wouldn't expect in a comedy.

I put on The Young Ones tonight & I was surprised to hear the laugh track.
Was it recorded in front a live audience?

Loiter Squad has coaxed a laugh or two out of me. Although at times, it seems a little Jackass-ish.
BioDriver mentioned Moral Orel. I appreciated how that pointed out hypocrisy. Had an awful lot of "*gasp* no they did not" moments.
