normal tunning sounds good, jazz and slap I enjoy on it.

I bought one a couple years ago because I was interested in becoming more accomplished at fretless:

I had walked into GC with time to kill and spotted the ~$750 Ocean/Laguna fretless they had in stock. I spent 15-30 minutes playing it and getting used to its settings. Walked out determined to find a used one. Within a few weeks, I snagged one for $300 off the 'Bay.

The sound tends to be a little muddy (I've been told that putting in newer Barts is the solution) but I use it mainly for practice and have only gigged it 2x. Suprisingly, in a Rockabilly rave-up setting, through my ancient Trace Elliot 2x10 combo, it did really well, even with flatwounds.

The Cort A4 is practically identical to this. I have no complaints about the fit/finish, nor the materials used, at this price point. I would bet that my $300 investment, plus nearly that much again in upgraded electronics, would result in a bass comparable to many >$1000 basses I have experienced. Not bad for an Indonesian no-name axe.
