He paid us cash, so whatever.
(I didn't vote for it.) The rhythm guitar, whom I have known since 4th grade and professes to be part NA, felt it was "heap big medicine" we got back together again. >sigh< We then had to change it because one of another band member's kids had substance abuse issues. >sigh2< So, we became FunHouse.
Nope, I didn't vote for that one either. Gave me images of clowns and big shoes. I think that one didn't garner much interest outside of certain other members. I often voiced my displeasure with that one.

I actually like ‘Green Lightening’ as a band name.High school band: Green Lightning. I have no idea.... Well, maybe.
Back in the mid-70s, I was briefly in a club band called "John Fifty and Change." Yup, you guessed it - John Fifty was the (alleged) name of the singer/keys, and we were the Change. He paid us cash, so whatever.
Subbed in another cover band back then called The Spectras. I guess so, because we played a wide spectrum of music.
Most recently, the band I'm in now, when I joined, began calling ourselves Medicine.(I didn't vote for it.) Now we are (again, I didn't vote for this one) Chalkboard Monkeys, because we all have an education background.![]()
I think the guys are trying WAAAAY to hard to make it relevant, but they just can't see that it's relevant to us/them only, and nobody else. "Why do you call yourselves Chalkboard Monkeys?" said no one ever.
Choosing a band name sux.

And, ....I would not have changed my bands name, because of the shortcomings of someone’s kids.
We were your typical HS garage band in 1970. I was brought in as the singer. Hmmm. Maybe THAT'S why we never hit it big!

Only if they are actually in the medical profession.Dr. Soul and the Interns
Still, I like the Chalkboard Monkeys best out of all of your other names. May be only relevant to you guys, but anything with monkeys in the name can't be all bad.High school band: Green Lightning. I have no idea.... Well, maybe.
