I found a factory Fender Vintage Fretless neck. It is from Japan, but as you know, new Fender fretless basses don't have the dots in them. This does. I've never seen a "Vintage" Factory Fender Fretless before. I have a new Allparts Sunburst body, which is stunning BTW, so I may put it with that and make a copy of the new looking Jaco bass or I may strip it, relic it and paint the headstock. I also picked up another HW1 body to strip, so it would go well with that. Has anyone else seen a "vintage" factory Fender Fretless neck?

MIJ is not considered vintage to alot of folks around here.

But maybe some one paid to have it done after they bought it because they could not play a fretless.

It came off of a 60s Reissue. Maybe I worded this wrong. Has anyone seen a 60s Reissue neck that was fretless from the factory. Why would someone have the frets removed if they could not play fretless? It sounds like you just want make up BS for some reason.
