odd gig story

I'm thinking "ew!" But you handled it like a pro! +1 on the face washing.

It reminds me when I was playing at this bar when this semi-attractive trailer park queen started dancing in front of me. She had on this mini-dress that barely came down over her butt cheeks. Every once in a while she would do The Twist and squat down showing me that she had no panties on. I could see for miles... She'd look up at me and smile, and I'd smile back. You know, just to be polite. It's what you do when a >ahem< "lady" shows you her tonsils.

After the set I head to the restroom to relieve myself. Her large, hairy boyfriend saddles up to the urinal beside me and says "My girlfriend likes you."

I replied "Uh... I'm flattered."

Then he proceeds to invite me back to their place for a drink after the show. I politely decline, telling him my wife was there. Good thing she was.

My guess is that she had several shots of Fireball that night, and the fact that her boyfriend didn't even try to stop her seems to indicate that he's used to her drunken shenanigans that are much worse than licking a stranger's face. Sounds like you made a good decision in sidestepping that landmine.

My girlfriend drinks Fireball at my gigs - gotta get her to lick my face... ;)

I was at my brothers gig a couple years ago, he was in a band with a bunch of tools that all weren't that good. During the gig the sound guy was having trouble mixing them because the guitard insisted on blasting his rig as loud as possible. The guitard then got mad he couldn't hear anyone else and blamed the sound guy, after their set the guitard got on the mic and said, "f**k you guys never ask us to play here again." And walked off the stage. On his way out he pulled the fire alarms, the fire trucks and police came, the next day he had to go down to the police station and answer questions. He got away with it since there was no real proof he did it.
