Offical B.C. Rich Club!

May I join? Acquired a Widow-headed Bronze Warlock last week secondhand from eBay. It came with the Warwick coffin case, which as much as I love, I have to part with for the simple reason that it doesn't actually fit in my car. I got it as it fits in with my band's image (we've all got pointy guitars of various descriptions), and because I've always secretly wanted a BC Rich.

I've read quite a bit of abuse about the poor old Bronze series Warlock, but apart from understandably being neck heavy, it plays well and after a new set of Ernie Ball Hybrids, does a passable P-bass imitation. Growls through my Ashdown ABM too!

One question: I've been trying to do some research on it, but all I can find is 4-in-line headed versions. Does anyone know roughly how old my Widow headed version could be? It also has the BC Rich logo on the pickup, if that matters.

I know everyone's seen one, but since it doesn't exist on TB without photos:

I don't own a BCR bass, but I wanted to share my experience with their first-rate customer service. A few years ago, I bought a Mockingbird acrylic guitar body for next to nothing on ebay. I called BCR to see if I could get a neck for it and could not believe how cooperative and helpful they were!

I don't remember the name of the gentleman I spoke with, but he was very knowledgable and on top of things. Apparently they don't make this certain model anymore, but they had a few spare necks in stock. Because the scales were a little bit different depending on the year, he sent me 2 different sized necks and only charged me for one! They were shipped to me within a week and I even got a followup call from BCR. Now that's customer service!

And one of these days, I will own a Wave bass. That has to be one of the sexiest bass designs ever, imo.

don't own one but one of my favorite recorded bass tones ever comes from one

you don't see too many Riches in funk music, but with the double P it has mojo like none other!

HEY, that was some sweet funk being played on that BC Bird. Sorry, don't mean to highjack, but that made me stand up and take notice. Would love to have been at that show.

Count me in.

I have a 2004 US Mockingbird with a beast headstock. I have owned a NJ Beast and 2 mid 80's NJ Warlocks. Would love to get a US Widow, but if you don't find it used the cost an arm and a leg here in Canada. That is if you buy one new.

Good to see some Bc Rich fans on this site.

Hey Lorne,

How's it going?

Have you been playing that Eagle bass. Last time I talked to you you were scared you would break it. I saw on Myspace some of your new Bc Rich's. I have yet to find a USA Widow. When I do, I don't have money and when I have money I can't find one. I going to join the Bc Rich players forum when I get a chance. Just bought a house so I'm busy getting ready to move plus my new band is recording.

Talk to you soon.
