Matt Touchard! There's folks who know more however not many lol
Matt is a friend and yes, super knowledgeable about BCR, his real love is guitars and the early electrics. He's certainly seen as many or more basses, photographed them and in many cases held them. He can look at the cut of an R logo and tell you when it was made and maybe the name of the luthier that carved it. However he isn't a bassist and hasn't owned hundreds of these as I have lol.Matt Touchard!
Oh, not comparing. Just that Matt is quite a knowledge base. Any idea where he's at with the book?Matt is a friend and yes, super knowledgeable about BCR, his real love is guitars and the early electrics. He has more BCR generalized knowledge but I'm no slouch with BCR bass knowledge lol
Unfortunately not, he's put it on hiatus due to tarrifs / other issues at this pointOh, not comparing. Just that Matt is quite a knowledge base. Any idea where he's at with the book?
Since the hole is already there give it a try!I might've asked this before, but now that I'm playing the Bodine a lot more lately since the new bridge, it looks like the strap pin used to be towards the back of the upper horn, where now it's at the top. This is how I got it. How do Eagle/Bodine owners thing moving it to what looks like the original hole would change the balance? I'd prefer it to get pulled into my body more.

I attempted that, but then realized someone had (sloppily) filled in that hole. I'll have to bring it to my luthier guy to check out. I don't trust myself.Since the hole is already there give it a try!
I believe it's because he has owned them all at one time or another.Man, you should start your own website for B.C. Rich information. You literally know everything about them!
Definitely a actual percentage of them, probably sub 10% thoughI believe it's because he has owned them all at one time or another.![]()

Thanks for looking!!
Those basses are MIND BLOWINGRecently picked up this Bich that was displayed at musikmesse (German NAMM essentially) in 1982. Its a sibling to my Frankfurt Wave bass. Separated for 44yrs now under the same roof once again. IView attachment 7478309View attachment 7478310View attachment 7478311View attachment 7478312View attachment 7478314 know of 2 other Frankfurt 82 basses, a maple dual H Wave and a trans blue maple Eagle. Half way there!
A mahogingbird is a rare bird indeedHere are a few I used to own. Both were mahogany neck/body wings, dot inlays and less paul style wiring. I eventually modified each with neal moser harness. Still sad I got rid of that mockingbirdView attachment 7381613View attachment 7381615View attachment 7381616View attachment 7381617
Mahogany with those PUs, perfectMy newly acquired 77 Eagle, it is in really good shape for its age and it sounds awesome, I really like experimenting with the different controls
