Hi there,

As an SVT 2 Pro owner, I'd like to use it with a powersoak/power attenuator for small venues where volume can be an issue for the band or the neighborhood although I'd like to hear the tube tone of the amp. I'm using a Mesa PH1000 4ohms or Mesa PH410 8 ohms as cabs.

Have you ever experiment such situation?

Any gear recommandation for the SVT 2 Pro (300W), as most of the powersoak on the market only handle 100w or 150w max?

Suffering from some really bad GAS right now. I want to hold out purcahsing anything so that I can "put my money where my mouth is" and support the new Heritage line of USA amps, but there's a helluva deal on local SVT-AV I've come across which is really calling my name. To make things worse, I just found an exceptionally rare and collectible (although not practical) Ampeg that is for sale, one which I have been loosley keeping my eye open for for the last 10 years. It's really not a great amp, and in all practicallity is not worth the money they are asking, but odds are I'll proabbly never come across another one in the next 10 years. Whats worse, is I know it would never get used in a live setting - just sit at home as a collectible. Unfortunately I can probably only swing one of these purchases now, unless I decide to unload some Marshall JCM 800s I've been sitting on. Ugggggghh! :confused: Decisions, decisions, decisions!

I just bought a 76'-79'. But i'm also considering buying the new Heritage. It's a little pricey but you probably won't have to take it to a tech for baising everytime you change tubes like the vintage one.

Anyone know where there is a walk through for biasing a vintage amp yourself? Meters needed...just voltage?

I mainly keep my Pro III as a backup. I use my SD800 with my Berg NV610. I waiting on my tubes for my 76'-79' SVT 300 tuber. In the meantime I'm looking for a Vintage 8x10 for the same period. Might have to settle for an 8x10AV.
