how did you cut the plexiglass? It looks really well done.
Unfortunately, my ATK isn't getting any love lately. It was a steamy, yet brief affair. While I dig the sound, I'm just in love with my Jazz necks. I'm also operating under a new mantra of "3 really nice basses instead of thirty $300 basses", I'm gonna list my 3EX1 soon I think.

He cut it out with some kind of burnisher and then he smoothed out the edges with a knife.

Yeah, from what I know, amber sunburst models were only sold in Europe. I don't know why though.

I had a case of anti-gas and now traded in my ATK 700 BLM.
It now sits in Statesboro, GA at Deloach's Music.
You could probably get it for 300, but start lower, like 250-275, and see where it goes from there. Near mint condition. Perfect build, except the headstock and body are not perfect matches.
The back story is: I am 48 and I hurt my back a few weeks ago. During this time, I noticed that I couldn't be made to pick that bass up even though, it was one of my go-to's and was played almost daily for years.
I had a moment of self-honesty, and realized that the 750, and the 300 are the only ATK's that would be getting any playtime from now on.
Added to the knowledge that I would eventually get around to refinishing it ( and possibly ruining it) because the headstock and body weren't the same shade of bluemoon. I'm OCD enough for that to bother me and it has for years.
So I decided it had to go, but needed to go now. I knew I would take a HUGE loss by going to a store for trade, but if I didn't go ahead, I wouldn't do it.
I did walk out with a VM Maple P, a 3/4 acoustic for my youngest son, and some drumsticks for my grandson. The BLM usually pulled "P-tone" duty and the neck feels almost identical. So, I'm surprised, but happy I did it. If I had waited till today, I would have probably changed my mind, which is why I never put it up for sale here.
Oh, it's strung with a new set of Sunbeams...I should have grabbed those before I took it in and put on a cheap set.
There is also a deluxe blue-jean Musicians Gear gig bag, all the original tags, and case candy.

Dude, give 'em a call. They have a toll free number on the website, and will probably work with you if you need to layaway, etc.
