Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

How does it respond if you boost any highs above 4khz...do they come through
I've been running the Bright switch on the MBF800 which is supposed to be @ 7khz and it's subtle but audible.

Last night at a casino with major FOH I ran my Jazz Bass with the pickups in series. Best sound I've had so far! The SuperTwin + MBF800 + Jazz w/rounds is becoming THE rig of choice around here!

It's gone. I just got it this morning. Crazy light and loud.

Sure would like to hear a sound clip of these tweeter less cabs with the highs boosted. I like a tweeter for the occasional popping and slapping I do, but if these cabs could get me almost there, I would be interested. Right now, the Big Baby seems to be the answer for me, but I hardly ever see them pop up in the classifieds.

So glad to see Barefaced building more cabs than ever ! I had to wait about 4 or 5 months when I got my Big Twin II back in 2013, good to see you guys don't have to wait that much now (still totally worth the wait).
Still amazed how loud this thing is : I had the chance to put it up against the traditional Ampeg 8x10 fridge in the studio a few weeks ago (that's about 80kg of back pain, right ?), and was baffled to hear that it really could compete with it in terms of overall volume ! Couldn't believe it myself :woot: And the tone... This little message to show my appreciation, big shout-out to Barefaced

Just a quick gig review. Played with a guy that has a school program for elementary age kids. Up on a stage in the gym-atorium playing for a few hundred kids. Unbelievably crappy sounding, as one would expect. My single SM powered by an AI 4plus Clarus was really, REALLY nice. I ran a modded Skyline Scheff into a Tone Hammer pedal/DI. I backed off the Bass on the TH just a smidge (like I always do) and had the HPF filter on the Clarus at about 9:00 to get rid of any unwanted boom.

Bottom end was surprisingly big and tight. Quite impressive considering the room. I was standing over the SM like a poster boy for what one shouldn't do to be able to hear one's self well on a gig, but I was able to hear myself. I didn't have to dig in with my right hand. Notes just popped right out of the cab like quarters off an Olympic gymnasts rear end.

I think I've found my fav cab of all time. Two of these suckers will kill. Can't wait to get my second one!

I've replied twice since Monday to Barefaced's email asking me about what cabs I currently use to make sure I'm buying the right one... No follow up so far. Hrm.
Oh well, I guess they're busy.
The waiting is harder than I thought it would be. :bored:

When I ordered I think they were on Holiday and I did not receive any response for a week. Then my order was processed promptly and while it took a week longer than they first estimated it was still pretty quick and I think I got my cab in 5 weeks or so.
