That's really good news! I would LOVE to see how the PF-50T sounds with a Six10! It might be plenty loud with a sensitive cab like that...

So far, the PF-50T has exceeded my expectations in terms of overall output, especially when paired with, as you say, a sensitive cab. Tonally, it is extremely similar to the V-4B.

I've already been in touch with Alex but would like to hear from owners in the wild. I'm thinking about a new Super Twin to go with my Orange TB 500. It would replace a Flite 15 (with a 5" mid that goes to 6-7k) and a 2x10.

I have two different but related rock sounds.

1. U-bass with metal strings. Think a cross between a fake upright and an old p-bass. Americana type band.

2. Instrumental post-rock win Modulus Bassstar/G&L hybrid with lots of effects, overdrive, grind, rounds, and I use both finger and pick. I go for an aggressive rock sound. Always some drive, but also fuzz, pitch shifting, phaser, etc. will I miss the 4-7k range? I know I have never liked my sound with tweeters.

It's hard to tell someone if they will miss something. For me, I always had cabs with tweeters and I always turned them off. Not usually a fan of that sound. The SuperTwin DOES have highs, they just don't extend past about 4k...you have to boost the EQ up there to get highs, also it helps to roll off the lows a bit. The lows on my ST are big, bold, tight and beautiful! This cab responds beautifully to EQ!!

Actually they do. The output from the cones stops at about 4kHz but the quieter output from the central domes runs to about 10kHz. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's like sticking a 3" mid in with a couple of more woofery* 12"s but it's probably about halfway between that and having two woofery 12"s on their own.

So the high frequencies to 10kHz are there, just at a much lower level than what's there below 4kHz?

Nice shot. How did you get on with the TCe amp? I hear what you are saying about the cab! The TCe's are considered full range due to one of the cones having a concentrically placed tweeter in the center dust cap. The Super compact doesn't have a horn, so I'm guessing that cuts of around 4-5 khz. I'm surprised you didn't opt for a big baby II, that's pretty much the same cab but with a horn fitted.
The "blob" isn't anything on your lens, it's shape is internal lens flare...looking at the picture...it's probably due to your flash gun bouncing off your bike's number plate.

Congrats. That is a night and day upgrade you have made, IMHO of course.

The supercompact was my goal without the tweeter, bass is low and well supplied, tweeter not needed

My wifes bike, mine is not in shot, but we are talking bass ?
