Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

I am considering Barefaced Big Twin to go with my Mesa Prodigy head. I currently use a Carvin Neo 4x10 cabinet and didn't like the sound yesterday at an outside gig, so it is time to replace it. Light weight is very attractive and it sounds like the Big Twin could handle my other rig (Presonus Channel Strip + Mackie ti1400 power amp) also without having to dig out the refrigerator. Does anyone have an opinion about this combination? I have avidly followed Alex's columns in Bass Player and trust his expertise in this BS-ridden field.

placed and order the 9-29-13 (more or less) for a Big Baby 2.
Alex told me that the scheduled arrival is set in december.
I have no probs with waiting, but man, I'm very very excited.
After having red all the techy info on the website about these 3 gen cabs, I have the feeling that these cabs will be really something in the bass world.
Till now, I hadn't placed and order for a Big series cab because I was unhappy with the low sensitivity, now these new cabs seem to have all, if this is true, and I bet it is, it's quite a miracle that will set Barefaced in the Olympus, far above...

Yup I came to this conclusion myself and placed an order. These cabs look like the real deal and I can't wait to own one!!!

I am interested in upgrading my year old Super 12T with silver cloth grille to the new generation 3 Super Twin, can anyone tell me if this is enough of an upgrade to justify the extra money it would cost, I know its not a huge amount given the excellent resale value of Barefaced cabs but it is xmas coming up soon and kiddies want pressies ;) are the new drivers and design that much better ?
If so then there will be a fantastic condition Super 12T on the UK market for some very lucky buyer :)

It seems that at Barefaced they broke the boundaries with that monster 12...let's see.

Maybe someone who has already done the upgrade to 3 gen cabs could share...
that question is really interesting, even for me, but Graham should focus on the fact that the complete bundle of drivers, hardware, enclosures, has been upgraded, so it's more than drivers...

I understand that the internal bracing has been revised as well, the Super 12T is a fantastic cab and I thought would be difficult to improve upon but one read of the Barefaced web site (obviously not all of it as that would take forever :)) is enough to convince me that the same attention to detail that produced the Super 12 would be applied to its successor, I think Barefaced cabs are the product of many hours of design and testing, lots of innovation, ingenuity and passion, we need more companies like Barefaced to revive the economy and show the world how good the UK can be at making things :)

Yup a BB2 is definitely heading my way. I am using a GB Shuttle max 9.2 right now. While the aggies are great at getting a nice mid driven tone, I want something more transparent... And lighter!!! The aggies have been up in the classifieds for a couple of weeks already. Someone buy them to fund my BB2!!!

Wow that's great!!! Glad to hear it's getting some good use. The Compact is definitely a loud beast. Very deep and full sounding, I just don't dig 15s. I think the BB2 is going to be a end all. I almost ordered two of them off rip but I just wanted to make sure it's THE ONE.

Im curious about how the BF 115 compares to other name brand 115 cabs....

That's a great point. The Compact sounds better than any 15 I've ever tried, obviously louder. I guess it isn't fair to say I'm not a 15 guy with all the great engineering going into these cabs. But then at the same time, maybe there's a reason 15s aren't include in the Gen 3 line up. Either way you can't go wrong with a Barefaced!
