Official Barefaced Bass Cab Club

Hello TB'r.
I got a big twin less than a year.
the last month i start notice the 6"speaker it's making a weird noise, Like some distortion going on. Like old speaker with the black paper damage.
I did keep this cab, always in my music room , it never left my house. I'm using markbass sd1200 never played more than 10clock volume and gain.
So there's a factory defect going on. I don't know if it's the speaker or the crossover, the cab it's very light used, so anyone got any idea what's going on.
I sent a email to barefaced, but i don't have any answer yet.
Tks.

I have been a looong Aguilar 12" cabs fan (GS, db SL)

Got a BigBaby2 a couple of weeks ago and I compared it to my Aguilar 2xSL112 mini stack.
The BB2 has MUCH more authority than a single SL112: more low end and it takes a lot more power. Just as Alex promised :)
It is ALMOST as loud as my 2xSL112 stack…. MAybe if it was a 4 ohm cab it would even be louder than the SLs

Hello...

Big Twin 2 is a truly beautiful thing!

Loud, low, light and detailed.

How such a huge sound comes out of a tiny box is quite remarkable.

my BB2 is in production now!

Alex has been so kind being in contact with me and answering my mails. I think he is a very busy man these days and I'm happy for him, can't wait to test the new cab on a big Christmas gig...I hope I receive it a few days before that date, so I can play it to let the woofer's suspension settle into its optimal working parameters...

Sent a long, long mail to Alex yesterday, to get the ball rolling! I did specify that it is not urgent (because I am in the process of selling off some other gear) so I do not expect a quick response. I am a patient man ... Ideally, by April my band will start gigging frequently again so would be cool to have new toys by then :D

Just keep in mind that Barefaced is almost a one man brand, maybe not in the sense of one person doing all the work, but you get the idea.
keeping this in mind, I did not send 10 mails per day to Alex, just 5-6 during the process of deciding and building. In one occasion, Alex answered me after a week or more, but with meaningful answers, and reporting very important updates and decisions about my order. He just does not skip messages and keeps a clean track of them. This is completely understandable to me and, in my opinion, a concrete way of using the net to keep contact with customers without allowing internet to slow down the most important thing, developing and building gear.

a little update...
just performed the full payment, I have no info on shipping timing as Alex maybe is super busy and I have not received a reply to my mail, but there is also the concrete possibility that my cab is on travel, don't know for sure.
I'm a bit anxious, not knowing the extimated day of delivery is truly challenging, I just can't wait to play my so desired BB2 :hyper:. Hope Alex sent it promptly so I can receive it in these days...I feel like a baby that waits for the Christmas gifts....excited! :bassist:

The Barefaced wait is a form of natural selection, only those with absolute patience and fortitude are deserving of a Barefaced cab, these things cannot be rushed, whilst waiting for your cab, you can take pleasure in the fact that your future pride and joy is not just being `built`, it is being brought to life, every piece lovingly formed, finished and assembled to perfection :)
Compare it to a new baby, you have 9 months to plan and become excited about the arrival, just picking one off a shelf in a shop would deny that pleasure :)
I am in week 9 of my new super compacts gestation period, this being my 2nd Barefaced experience, I kind of know what to expect but have still got the champagne on ice and the cuban cigar ready ;):)

Its worth the wait :hyper:

Yeah, I ordered my Big Baby 2 back in August and got the email from Alex late last week that the cab should be ready to ship this week. Funds are transferred, have just been waiting for a notice of shipment... Maybe it's in transit already or maybe it's running late. Either way, the next two weeks are full of public holidays and it's gotta come across to Australia, so still some time to wait.

I think first thing I'm going to do is just look it over for a while. They look awesome - I got mine with the silver cloth grill. You're getting a made to order cabinet, that has had input by the designer themselves. It's well worth the wait. I look forward to breaking it in :)

it has been a while that I completed the payment and still waiting for the cab. Holidays and bank issues played a role (the money transfer took more time than expected).

It's quite strange to not have any info regarding when the cab has been/will be shipped and delivered...4 days? 4 weeks?

and this is the question for all you folks that, lucky you, already received your cabs.

Did you receive from Alex a mail or other contact telling you that your cab was shipped or simply one day a truck delivered it to your door without any premise?
