The new rig is complete, got my AG 700 yesterday, haven't plugged it in yet but wanted to share my setup with yall. Not sure why the picture is oriented sideways, i took it normal but can't get it to show correctly.

How does it sound? Have you compared it with GK MB Fusion 800?

Ditto was @DaveAceofBass said. I'd be most interested in your take on the new AG700, and especially how it sounds a) w/ Barefaced cabs and b) how it specifically compares to the GK MB Fusion 800. I have BF cabs and run the MBF800 often.

Oh, and also how it compares to the Handbox R-400 amp, lol. Information-- I want it all, and I want it now! And I'm not even a millennial

Just hooked it up and fiddled with it a bit. I have owned Tone Hammer 500 and DB751 and played both through BF Big Twin Gen 3 and if I compare it to those it is totally different. As people have stated it is super clean very mid clear but can get low as well. I have been playing my Big Baby's through Mesa D800, the AG 700 seems smoother/clear compared. Not sure if I am good at explaining this as the Mesa is clean as well but the AG seems a bit smoother / clear / mid present. Hope that helps...

Makes me happy I went straight to a single Four 10. Still a very easy schlep and can do just about any venue. Brought me right back to the 410 fold I left years ago.

I'm getting a kind of limiting at fairly low volume. I'm going to try them with my old Markbass LM11 and see also if I can set up the Quilter to play nicer with them when I get a chance.
I used to have a Markbass Traveler 210 and while it didn't have the natural lows it was plenty loud enough for the same kind of gigs.

Try setting the Quilter master low & push the gain until it barely flickers when you play as hard as you would normally when you're playing hard on a gig. Then adjust the master to set your overall volume level.

I'm happy I went for 2x Two10

I will use a single one most of the time (stage monitor) and I like to stack cabs vertically. I did think about the 410 (or even 610!) initially, but I much prefer modular rigs.
I guess the next step is getting a 410 to combine them all (nah, I'd love to but not until I have roadies... it's overkill for me)

I used to have a pair of 1126 that I sold to keep just the pair of S112 I have now. The 1126 kicks some serious butt. I kept the S112 rather than the 1126 because they have a much tighter bottom end and very sweet low midrange, which I prefer. Some people really hated the S112 compared to the 1126 when I did a test once because the 1126 has a huge low end and just feels big without barely pushing it, while the S112 don't. It's not that they lack low end, to me they have plenty! But they're nothing like the 1126.

Why do I talk about the S112? Because the Two10 reminds me of them, which is why I like it. It has a lot bigger bottom, but it's still nice and tight and well defined. The Two10 is like the S112 after going to the gym for a few months.
I never got to compare the 1126 to the Two10, but from memory I would expect the 1126 to sound bigger for a given amp setting, but you can probably still push the Two10 to get you a similar "oomph" if you have the power. They're very different sounding cabs, 'though, so you'll have to play with your EQ a bit and probably boost the low end a bit if you're trying to get close to the 1126.

edit: I've used a single Two10 in small pub gigs a few times, with my main band (3 guitars, drums, trumpet and sax) and while it wasn't earth shattering, it does pretty well, it doesn't feel lacking. I'm assuming that two One10 will sound similar to one Two10... is that correct?

I think it's partly because just like Barefaced, being based in Europe, they must cost quite a bit more in the US... while in the US they already have a pretty good choice of great cab makers.
TKS make some great cabs, for sure. It's pretty cool that they offer such a wide range of finishes too. My 1126s were bright red... my S112s are electric blue

Yes the One10 reminds me of a S112 too but with more lows. I need to try the One10's again, maybe with a different bass but the gigs I've had recently I've played safe with what I know will definitely work. I did a gig once with just one cab and it was fine but it was a wooden floor and the next 2 gigs were on carpet. I maybe need to try the cabs with the port to the side too.
I've not tried a Two10 but I would imagine 2xOne10's would be similar.

The 1126 is similar in concept to the Fearless F112 with the 3012LF driver. If we'd have had the same speaker grill options over here in the UK I'd have probably gone for one or 2 of those instead.

It looks like our experiences are similar then.

The S112 definitely sounds a bit 'light' compared to the 1126 especially which is a bass monster. Although a pair of them result in a nice low end boost, and if you can set it close to a back wall, you can get a very full sound without boosting lows (Stingray/Precision + MarkBass LMII typically). If you try only one S112 it sounds decidedly wimpy.

I used the two S112 once in a large stage, the kind of stage where you almost need your phone to communicate with the guitarist on the other corner No back wall. I thought it was not going to be very nice onstage (the stack looked so tiny and lost ) but it sounded really really good. We had very good monitoring but I ended up having no bass on mine, just using my amp. There's something really sweet about the low mids and tight bass on those cabs and I love their sound in every band I play in (one is ska/funk mostly, another ska/reggae, and the last... a Rage Against The Machine tribute which is ultra fun... my guitarist there loved it when I showed up with the Two10 "hey, isn't that what TimC is using too these days?"... he thought I did it on purpose but I didn't... I just like it, just like I simply like my natural/maple Stingray which I often use without a pickguard... from before I knew who Tim Commerford was)

I once used the pair of 1126 in a bar where another band (reggae) played before us and the bass player used my amp, no PA support. Those cabs filled up the room amazingly well. I just found the low end a bit too much too often, same with the Barefaced BB2 pair I used to have. The S112 sounds great when you boost the low end a little, but because they cannot handle a lot of power you really need to be a little careful. That's why I found the Two10 so cool, as it gives me a similar sound but with more lows, as you said, and it's a very tight low end... I don't know, I just love it.

When I realised I can fit two Two10 in the boot of my little car plus pedalboard, amplifier, overnight bag etc etc, it became obvious where my future lie
I was tempted about the One10 as I like modularity... but I could see myself ending up with 4 of the things and that's a lot of extra cash compared to even a couple of Two10s.

I can't imagine *needing* the two Two10 often, but it's a relatively small portable rig and when stacked up vertically it doesn't take any more floor space than a single one...

Anyway, I digress with my own stuff, sorry... I am just drinking very nice and very strong coffee while I make time before I need to join the 'monkey van' and drive down to England for a weekend of gigs, so I just have bass in my brain and overactive fingertips

I hope you find the One10 pair works for you and it was just the wrong room or something and just needed some adjustments.

I first heard the BB2 when a local guy saw my posts asking about it compared to the Compact I used to have and invited me over to try his. He was using a BB2 and had a SuperMidget as well... his upright bass sounded amazing through either. But I think he just sounded amazing anyway
It was a cool combination for either upright or electric bass guitar...
