Two super compacts would solve that problem.

Speaking of the SC, played an art opening with it tonight--Orange TB500 with a Lull PJ. Boomy rectangular room, bad acoustics and...the bass sounded great through it. Load in and out was a dream.

I have a Big Twin 2 and I'm about 6' tall; I also found that tipping back and rolling is not as easy as I thought it would be. But for $30 or so you can get one of these and a couple of 48" bungee cords, problem solved:

Nice to know.. i had my doubts with the height and the trolley function (i'm also tall). Considering the weight, i'll properly just pick it up, just like Alex suggested.

I'm just under 5'10 and don't find it a problem. I have to bend v v slightly to drag it in trolley mode. There's been many times though where i've just picked the whole thing up (usually as i have to carry it over a muddy field and don't want it to get dirty) and carried it by the handle and it really isn't a big deal. Its lighter than Ashdown 210's i used to own. Really easy lift IMO

There are some guys with golden ears and years of experience with 70s SVT gear that will say it isn't in the same league. I can't speak to that. I'd love to hear a V4-B through it.
Tonight when we practice our second guitar player will be out, so I'm gonna go full-on Royal Blood with this thing and see what it does.

Would love to hear how it goes...i haven't kicked out the jambs on mine yet. I'm also eyeing up a V4b to go with it....sounds great with my Ashdown Little bastard 30 all tube 30W as well as my ABM500 with valve pre

We won't be changing to a telescopic handle - this is a very high output bass cab and there is no way a handle like that would stay rattle free in the very longterm, even if we could make it work initially (the cab would have to be made bigger as well to fit an airtight sub-enclosure around the handle and all the bracing would have to be changed too). We try to provide options by having both wheels and a top handle and side handles at the balance point. If you're shorter/weaker, then wheel it, if you're taller/stronger then carry it. I'm taller than you and will generally pick a Super Twin up for going a distance but wheel it about for shifting it around a room. You can't make the ergonomics perfect for everyone because everyone is different. The Big Twin 2 is taller and heavier so more people will wheel it about.

If you were to test the frequency response of the Super Twin you'd find it isn't at all midrangey - it just doesn't have any dips in the midrange, whilst most bass cabs do, especially out in the room off-axis. You're just hearing the reality of your bass/hands/amp for the first time! The drivers do smoothen out a bit in the first few hours of high SPL use. Glad you're liking it though!

Just put the down payment down on a Super Twin. This will be my most expensive music related purchase but hopefully one that will last me for decades. I'm a little nervous that a Super Twin may be too much for my needs but Alex said it would be best so I'm deferring to his better knowledge of his engineering. I'm excited! Now I have to start looking through this big thread to build the anticipation ha.

I really like my Super Twin. It's pretty small and light, but still looks purposeful, and most importantly sounds great at all volumes. I use a Mesa d800 and play in a pretty loud rock band..it holds its own briliiantly against even the loudest of drummers. No sweat!

The Big Twin 2 is definitely light enough to pick up and carry, but there are times when I need to be able to carry all my equipment (bass, amp, cab, accessories, etc.) in a single trip, and putting the BT2 on the folding hand truck makes it MUCH easier to do that.

The ST is light; deceptively so. If there is one flaw in the design it is that the cab is shortish, so actually tipping it back and rolling it is hard to do if you are taller. I'm 5 10 and have a little trouble making the angles work. An extending handle like luggage has would solve this, but that's an engineering nightmare I'm sure they don't want.

I added an extendable handle to my ST and love it! Used a hand truck for a bit and this is much better for me.

I've thought of this problem as I am over 6 ft. I think what I'll do is extend the handle by tying a thick extended handle made of paracord to the original handle. It would have to be really secure but I think it could help with that. With this cab I could load and unload in one trip! The only thing I'm really in the dark about now is the wait time to get the cab..

It's true, the SuperTwin is a bit difficult to tilt back and roll for those of us on the taller side. Still, I'd wager you'll find it doesn't matter as you'll just pick it up and carry it with one hand. It's that light.

Well, this might not be fully accurate for YOU... but in Wisconsin (so also US midwest) it took less than 24 hours (22 to be exact) from the time they shopped it from Brighton UK to my doorstep. Still don't know how they do that! So, at worst, 2 days? And possibly under 24 hours. And yeah, the 22 hours I clocked takes into account time difference between here and there, so it's not just some time/date stamp illusion.
