After listening to some reviews of these I decided to skip the tweeter as well. I use a lot of overdrive and have always been wary of too much brittle static created by tweeters. I've been pretty happy so far as well.

Sometime in the distant past I must have posted about my Super Twin (serial # S001 - the very first production ST) which I have been using for the last 4 years. It still looks like a new cab, despite many gigs. I have now added a Super Compact to the mix, giving me the choice of 1 x 12, 2 x 12 or 3 x 12, depending on the gig. I can also take the SC to gigs as a spare, so I have spare bass, spare amp & spare cab. Don't laugh, at a recent gig I had an amp fail in the first 2 minutes, so changed to the spare, then my Jazz bass fell over (on its stand) and was damaged by the drum kit. The spare Precision saved the day.

Anyway, the Super Compact will be ideal for those small venues where even the Super Twin is too big, and is so light I can carry it with two fingers.

Here's a pic of the most powerful version of the combinations available to me:

Can i ask are those the EQ settings you usually use on your ABM? Switching from an ABM410 to a ST has taken me sometime to adjust. I think the issue is the ST is so much more neutral in tone compared to my 410, i'm hearing my ABM more and finding it needs a lot more tweeking to get a tone i like (BTW, my Ashdown LB30 amp's tone sounds awesome through the ST)

Is there anyone here using a stack of four One10's? And if so:
  • What 2ohm head are you using to power them?
  • Does the "depth" of the tone match the Four10 (with consideration to the differences in cab design)
  • Is there a significant tonal change in the port placement in stacking the One10's on their side (for greater stability)?
Since I already have two One10's, I'm trying to avoid purchasing a pair of Two10's to accomplish the same thing. But any input on a stack of two 4ohm Two10's would be equally useful.

If you get one 4 ohm 2x10 stood upright and stack your 1x10s on their side, they would give you two ohms and the widths would match. Save you some cash and give you options.

finally played some gigs with my Super Midget
this thing keeps up without breaking a sweat
i play in a loud rock trio and the SM is plenty loud with room to spare
I still prefer my BB2, just has more low end

played an outdoor a festival last week and stacked the SM on top of the BB2 powered by my Aguilar DB751 - wow! amazing stack!
the guitarist just texted me about today's gig, he asked me to bring the same rig, said it sounded awesome!

First gig big enough to use my "Six 10" coming up shortly. Two One 10s connected together in series then sitting on top of and linked to my Four 10 for 4 ohms. Looks great in my room and should sound superb at the big venue. Not sure whether to use the incoming Mesa 800+ or Orange AD 200 or Fender Super Bassman for this blues gig backing Hammond Gamble, a national legend. Probably the Orange......hmmm... in the past would have gone with the Bergantino NV215 but change is good...
