I have the fr800 which is the same cab as the bb2, they're noticeably deeper front to back than the compact and actually rather awkward to carry by barefaced standards. You might be better served with the compact or midget if carrying is an issue.

Remember that the bigger cabs have wheels to help reduce schlepp time.

Yes, it's bigger, but not very heavy. I can't imagine the Super Compact sounds as good...the horn in the BB2 sounds terrific, and there is lots of low end and highs are present. The Super Midget is easier to carry, and has a more punchy sound.

The SC's can be stacked on their sides for more topside rack space.

Not sure how many of these systems exist in the states, but there's at least one! The Barefaced PA (two FR800s and the LF1400 sub, sorry for the terrible pic). It started a year ago when I got the 2 FR800s to use as my bass amp, which worked out really well. But then earlier this year, the LF1400 was introduced, and it got me thinking about replacing my great sounding (but heavy) existing KV2 system (two EX10 tops and one EX2.2 sub) that I'd been using and moving around by myself for the past dozen or so years. This system sounds just as good with similar SPL output, but is literally half the weight! (EX2.2 sub is 104 lbs., LF1400 is 52 lbs.). If any of you are thinking about going this route, I highly recommend it!

Cool. How is the sound quality? I've been thinking of buying a new PA, probably without the subwoofer.

If I had an extra 5 grand to blow, the 2xFR800 + LF1400 PA set-up would likely be given strong consideration. The sub in particular, since I don't presently have one, is attractive; knowing Barefaced I'd bet the presence and sonic quality is like bathing in warm liquid bass. Using my (mostly) Behringer PA is free, and tolerable for my applications, so....

Heard a DJ at a garden wedding party using a pair of the EuroLive 12" units, and I was a little surprised they sounded as good as they did. He wasn't running a sub, and the sound was pretty decent.

It's very accurate, hi-fi sounding to me. Noticeably better than PAs of similar size that I've heard from the usual suspects. The FR800s do quite well on their own as a full range system, even on the sticks, but the sub just adds that nice thud to the kick and bass that you more feel than hear.

Not to derail from Barefaced, but I have a pair of Behringer 15" + horn cabs, (B215XL) and they do pretty well, even with a little kick and bass (just very lightly, as I don't want to find out what the limit is by surpassing it) in the mix. Behringer PMP6000 16-channel board is more channels than I need but I like a lot of the other features, it's versatile; and a couple of Behringer F1320D powered monitors. I don't like to, and don't need to, drag the whole thing out often. But it sounds pretty decent, all things considered.

Good to know. Still would rather roll an all BF PA, but reasons.

Okay, tomorrow will be three weeks since I ordered my SC, so the excitement is building to almost unbearable purportions. That said, knowing the BF cabs require a little time to break in, I'm thinking about setting up a 5 minute loop on my Ditto and leaving it run at moderate volume while at work.

Any reason why that wouldn't work?
