How's that power section? Is it more like tube watts, solid state watts, British watts, some other kind of watts? 250 @ 4 seems light to me, if running an 8 Ohm 12" cab.

If you find 200 watts "light", that's 'cause by today's standards it is. IMHO, unless one really wants (notice I avoided the word "need" :-) a head the size of a stack of note cards because one the size of a thickened iPad is just waaaay toooo biiiiig, I fail to see the allure. At this point there are choices that push 300 or 500 watts into 8 Ohms that fit in a gig bag pocket. For me, that's the size threshold that matters, so until someone makes one in a watch, I won't need to get smaller. Having said that, if someone just digs the look and form factor and has no need for more power or more capable eq, have at it....I certainly (all too frequently) buy stuff I want, knowing full well there's no logic behind my desire :-)

We have not bench tested the ELF yet, but we will. :thumbsup: Comparing it to my GK MB200, it seems in the same ballpark in terms of output power.

OK, after about 15 posts with no Barefaced content it's time we got back on track! And, lest someone feel like I'm talking about them, I had several posts of my own in that stretch so I'm as guilty as anybody.

So, please enjoy a picture of my Big Baby 2, who will finally have a sibling to play with next Tuesday or Wednesday. :hyper:

If you put a Behringer/Bugera sticker on it, it ups the power output to 4000 watts. Little known secret there!

The actual shipping is usually in a day or two. The unknown factor is whether the cab you want is in stock and if not, how long it'll take till it's built. An email to BF when you're ready to order can give you an idea of that. Also, if you don't know which cab you want email Alex and he'll help you out.

Thanks ahc, I'm currently using an MB800 and a Berg AE 410 (62lbs). I'm trying to lighten the load I'm recovering from a July 3rd back surgery due to an auto/cycling accident. Should be back to work and my band soon! I've been doing the back and forth with Alex the last couple of days. His first suggestion yesterday morning was BB2! I have since been looking through the club thread and now all the lines are getting blurry so many options. I really like the weight (40lbs) and foot print of the Super Twin. but a little unsure sure of going with out the compression driver. I failed to tell Alex that my MB800 is in a rack with our Aviom IEM system and the full size rack would sit well on the ST. The BT2 is up there at 50lbs and getting closer to the size of present cab.

It would ultimately cost more but you could go modular with two Super Compacts, together they equal a single Super Twin but weigh less than 25lbs each for the schlepp.

Yeah I have looked at that option but still worry about the full size rack sitting atop those small cabs. Funny I need a bigger cab to hold my amp and our IEM system! I feel like I could get along without the horn but having a hard time pulling the trigger on the ST.

The BB2 is fantastic. I love having the horn. I have a BB2 and Super Midget. I love it!!!
