If you can afford it, I'd go for the BigTwin2, because you can always turn down/off the horn. I find that the high end is very sweet. I have always turned the horns off on my other cabs, this one is very musical.

Went from gigging 2x Ampeg Pro Neo 410s or 2x LDS 15/6/1s to a single Barefaced Big Twin II. I am still in awe, even after 6 months(give or take), that this single 212 can do what I needed 2x410s or 2x 15/6/1s to do before. I'd really like to have another BTII, but I just don't need it, this one cab gets stupid loud!
OTOH, I'd love to have a BB2 for my acoustic gigs. It seems like such a waste using this BTII on those low volume gigs, lol!
All the time with a single or pair of BB2's in a power trio. When fed enough power a single BB2 does extremely well.
I'm using a variety of amps with them, but they seem to prefer higher wattage amps. I've been using a Demeter Minnie as my small amp, a Mesa M9 as the medium, and a Crest ProLite 3.0 for large. I've tapped out the Minnie before...
Note the dimension difference. The difference isn't just the tweeter, but the low end response. My assumption, based on having progressed from a SM to a SC to a BB2, is that the bigger box will get you deeper lows more easily. The smaller box will be a bit more tight and punchy by comparison. Not saying one will be boomy or the other will be thin. Just pointing out they will have some difference, outside of the compression driver highs.

I own 2 BB II's, one is very loud, both are VERY loud. You can run them at 500 - 1k watts and be quite happy but if you feed them 1500 -2k watts they get fiercely loud and chomp at the bit to go further.
Super Twin. We're pretty loud in 100-200 seat bars. The ST has more volume than I will ever need. I have maxed out plenty of cabs (and pairs of cabs) in the past; not this one.

If you don't need the really big low end & the airy, sparkly high end, the Super Twin seems like it would be mighty sweet & cover any sized gig (short of an outdoor concert for thousands & no PA).
You've probably seen it already but @kringle77 has a youtube video of the ST & to me it sounds plenty bright w/o the tweeter:
Tantra, Thunderfunk, B|Amp, Alembic FX-1/Crest ST-2000 or Quilter with 1-2 BB II's . All sound great all get loud the Crest is downright nasty
I haven't found a situation a single BB driven by a decent amp couldn't handle. It is nice to have two cabs for that extra umph. I now add a super midget instead of a second BB. I love having the additional option of the two different cabs for different scenarios.
I'm doing a similar thing with a SM and SC...great combo!
I've gigged quite a bit with my Four10, and lately I've taken my Big Twin II out a couple of times and really like that too. Neither one is lacking in volume, even outdoors. The Four10 cuts through a bit more because it's more mid-focused, but the BTII sounds bigger and is a bit more textured because of the extended highs. The Four10 has a lot of personality, so it can make a bland amp sound better. The BTII is more honest, so a bland amp sounds a bit bland, and an amp with great personality (like my Reiner VHF700) really shines.
I made a comment like this about one of the 10" cabs. Alex quoted it and stated that his measurements show something different, implying there is a scoop.
I think there might be roll-off points on the high and lows, combined with the intended distortion of those drivers, which can shift the listener's focus to the mids. I think different listeners will have different ideas about mids; some focusing on upper-low or low-mid (~250), some focusing on mid-mids (500 - 1,000), and some focusing on upper-mids (closer to 3k). This can make statements about "mids" a little tricky, if nobody specifies which range they mean.
